Hi,
I write their name and location on a piece of paper and place it in my hands. I use this if it for a person I don't know.
Blessings,
Tami

Welcome Menkaure!
In person, I'll usually do hands on, but will sometimes opt to do distance (maybe getting comfortable is a factor, or something else).

When I'm doing distant QT, I do it one of two ways - either I will sandwich and work on a certain area, OR I will miniaturize the client and work on their whole self.
When I do the latter I incorporate other techniques, like Richard's baby Richard, I do what I call age PROgression.

I will hold in the field between my hands and QT the client beginning while they were in the womb thru birth, to present day and into the future. How much time I have will determine what time incriments I use (ie. two, five years or more).
It's interesting how often I pick up the ages that something happened (usually traumatic) by doing this without even trying.
This is great for healing emotional as well as physical things. And you don't even need to know what they were. Cool, huh.
Of course once we learn the advanced techniques, we incorporate them into our distance sessions.

I cup my hands and picture the person or part that's bothering them in my hands. This is if it's someone I know.

If it's someone on the board, I close my eyes and concentrate on their name, and just kind go from there.

Hi Menkaure,

When I start a distance session, I always make a clear intention for myself exactly who I'm working on, often saying aloud "I'm working on Andrea's mother Jennie C in Calgary" for ex. (esp. when it's someone I've never met or spoken to) For many people a picture can really help you focus.

I just need the name and perhaps their location and relationship to whomever requested the session.

Then I do my best to really see and feel(imagine) that person's body part I'm working on between my hands. I find this makes the sessions the most effective so far for me.

The great part about distance work is I can just get nice and comfy, lay my hands in my lap and put the part I'm working on inbetween. I don't have to hold them up in odd angles and positions as you would for a hands-on session.

I much prefer speaking to the person while I'm working, so I have a headset with a microphone I wear to keep my hands free and relaxed. I like getting the instant feedback so I can tweak the techniques I'm using to get the best effect.

Have fun!

Hello, Menkaure! Smiler

For me, approaching distance work is like going to an amusement park - there's a lot I can use, I just have to pick. Wink

Most of the time, it's with people I know. So I'll hold the mental picture of them in my mind, and then move it into my heart and core (belly). I'm a mother, so I just naturally nurture clients in that aspect - it feels better to me to place them in my core, as if I were carrying them in pregnancy. I also bring them into my core as a baby - part of my "what I love most" thing.

If it's someone I've never met, I ask for a picture. I seem to get a better "lock on" their energy signature with a photo to look at, and then approach it the same way as I do with someone I know. If they can't get me a photograph, I follow along with what Sonja suggested...I say aloud and in my heart who I'm working with, and where they are, and go from there. I get a clear sense/feeling of the energy connecting to that client, and begin sweeping and breathing, with their image in my mind, heart, and core.

Like Sonja, I also prefer to do distance sessions by phone, or over Skype on the computer, so that I get instant feedback. It makes the session flow so much easier it seems, and helps me be able to help them address the changes that occur during our time together.

I just make sure I'm comfortable so the energy can flow easier, above all, and I clearly set the intention aloud before the session.

My Basic instructor used teddy bears or other stuffed animals, and would sandwich them in her hands, or hug them to her heart while doing distance work. I liked that approach as well, but sometimes I can't get my sons to give up one of their "friends" for a session. So I just go with whatever first comes to me to use, and it always seems to work well!

Play around and have fun with it - do what you feel comfortable doing, what feels natural to you. Smiler

Hello Menkaure
I came across QT just over a year ago so I'm also relatively new. Since I've been doing Reiki for some years, I felt it a bit awkward to 'connect' just with the intention and not using the symbols. So at first I started 'connecting' with Reiki then switching to QT. Then when I became more confident, this was unnecessary so now I just start with QT and allow the Reiki to go along.

Hello Menkaure,
A simple way to get yourself into distant healing is to cup your hands, start your sweeping and breathing, and imagine you have little 3-d video show inside your own cupped hands of you having a complete healing sessions with them. Imagine you are watching the entire healing session in rapid sequence, like you are cueing your video player forward at 5x normal speed, but that the session is actually happening for the person receiving it at regular speed. So your 10-15 minute distance session on your end is a full 50-75-minute QT session for them.

Try it and see what you notice. If you are able to do it by phone or chat, all the better because of the immediate feedback.

Blessings,
Alfred

Yes Melvin it can,

It is a great focus tool if you have a picture.

Where in Africa are you? I'm in Botswana.

Best wishes

Menkaure,

All are great words of advice. I had a hard time accepting that distance healing could work, until I actually experienced it.

Something I found really effective in distance healing is the Dr. James Hopkins cd, available from QT Corp. I use Bose noise eliminating headphones, and listen to the cd to concentrate and focus. Especially helpful where you can simply visualise the person(s) between your hands and run a ball of brilliant white light around them. I'll actually "see" flashes of lightning striking them from the sphere of light.

Each track has a different "frequency" and focus. Also, each has its own time. My favorite is "Divine Harmonics."

I've found that letting go and letting the energy run, brings images and results beyond my ability to imagine. It works well for me, to be in the core point at this stage.

If you've not tried this yet, let us know how it goes, after you do.

Thanks.

G L Arnold

I teach distance on my classes. I tell the studentes to do wahat they learned before that point and:

a) Imagine your hands on the client
or
b) Bring the client to your hands

Results: The students that play the role of practitioner say, ALL OF THEM, that they concentrate better at distance.

The client feels like working hands on.
Practitioner and client sit in front of each other as far as possible, about 3 meters from each other, and I ask them to speek low, make singnals if possible, in order to chase the sensations, and it ALWAYS work.

So it's simple, just do like hands on...I think most people complicate things that are so simple.

Healers and Distance healing

Hello,

A friend has several issues with her physical health and is undergoing immense pain. She is on medication, trying to eat healthy, exercise to the best of her ability, sleep, meditate etc. Her main issue is with her vision and medics don't seem to have a solution. Many have told her to seek distance or energy healers. We checked out Jim Nance from Spring Forest healing, Carol Hathor of soul wisdom, Michael Mohoric's qigong healing etc. There is nothing noticeable after several phone sessions with them.

Has anyone here had success with energy healers or distance healers? Can someone recommend healers or healing modalities with which you have had some concrete healing effects? Having spent quite some money and time on medicine and healers, she is now kinda drained and I am trying to help by doing some research.

thank you
