Another important point for success running the energy: relaxed, comfortable posture keeps the energy pathways open. So make sure BOTH you and your healer (recipient of the energy) are comfortable, and the your feet are planted with soles on the floor when possible.
The goal is to keep the feet, legs, butt, abdomen and back muscles, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers so relaxed and soft that someone could easily nudge an arm or leg or lift a finger or toe, and they would just fall back into place without your help . This also increases your sensory sensitivity, so you are more likely to have a felt sense of running the energy. The other part of the challenge is to keep your full breaths steady, which requires the diaphragm muscle between your lungs and intestines to flex and stretch (belly and chest get bigger on the inhale, and get smaller on the exhale), all the while keeping the rest of you soft and relaxed. Once you get this flowing, it really feels nice! And once you get used to it, you'll notice right away if there is unnecessary tension somewhere, and you can conscoiusly relax and release it and increase the quality of your QT.
