I have been working with this concept for a long time and am curious what others consider an allowing state.
I personally like to get as deep into a sense of opening within myself as I can. To do this I like to use the Core breath (from Core Transformation class) to enter into a state of total fluidity and connection to the "all that is" that I can. From here whether you choose to do a more Yin approach (core focus or "opening") or a more Yang focus (basic and SC or sending) is up to you. The key is to become less formed in ones own being so there is a sense of blending with everything. This in turn provides less resistance to both the offering process and the receiving process. In this way oneness is experienced. The sense of separation leaves and possibilities open exponentially. This in turn provides faster and deeper results for the healing process, at least in my experience. Comments or other views please. Alain Herriott instructor (advanced QT classes) |

The Universe and I combine together |
Hi Alain,
To me if I can put it into words what I feel, Allowing is the freedom the wide open space of "anything can happen". Being in the pure state ,greeting and honouring the divinity in the other and yourself and knowing/feeling and trusting all is done for the Highest good of the other, its a no mind state and one step closer to feeling we are all One. Hi Alain,
To me allowing is a totally relaxed feeling in the center of my being. I might start with the intention of allowing, accepting what is, but I've arrived when I have no thought and I am being rather than doing (thinking). Christina Blessings, Love and Laughter, and Big Warm Hugs, Chrissie |

Keeping 'Ego' out of the equation. Bringing in 'space consciousness'.

Allowing is a state I reach when the "me" comes out of the equation. When all simply is and I am not trying to do or be anything.
When using Yang I reach it by focussing on the breathing and by keeping my eyes open and staring on the floor or in the distance. THis focuss brings me to a space inwards. Then all becomes one, there is no distance between me and the person I work on, and the process unfolds on its own. When using Core it happens by just going in core point and not work hard at trying to be or remain there. I just let it happen and by mere presence, consciousness is brought to the area. Ah here's a conductor, lets all get synchronised to the beat of consciousness the area seems to say. Isabelle Practitioner/Instructor Bach Flowers Practitioner (reconnecting life force patterns) |

The mild thought: Do not hold on too tightly because that will prevent the chi from flowing properly, but do not let go completely or you Will Just go limp and fall asleep.
SUNG: The foundation of every kind of energy is sung. Sung is less about being relaxed and more about being open. Opening up the body and removing the blockages inside, both physical and mental. The sung state is like a tender, new leaf; soft, fresh , and full of living force. Sung comes from cultivating the chi flow in the body, People often mistakenly talk about “creating” chi or “building” chi, like building a fire. But since chi is the very essence of the universe, it cannot really be created or destroyed, it can only be managed. There is no good chi or bad chi, Just chi in the wrong place or the right place. Relaxation is like a process, a state of mind, but the state of sung is the result. This is from the book "The Medicine Box" by Shan-Tsung Hsu So, for me, when we run QT on a SUNG STATE, we are allowing. Wilson |

May you be blessed with the Universal Light! |
For me, allowing is the opposite of resisting. It's relaxing my mental and physical state, creating space and an overall sense of receptivity. It is also, in another way, the opposite of intending, that is, imposing my will in terms of what I want to happen. It's almost like my consciousness becomes a willing medium for collective being and unfolding.

All of the above are very good descriptors. For me, adding this statement: A state of allowing is one in which my only intention is to have no intentions. Core point is my starting place.
Then, Just BE, and see what comes, see what goes, feel the flows. Observe. Alice H. Practitioner and Instructor http://healinghandsminnesota.com Turn your face to the sun -- The shadows fall behind. |

So many aspects of this concept have been beautifully covered. For me - it is like stepping sideways out of the stream of consciousness. There is a feeling of relief and more openness at that point, - the core point being a great portal to that end. It seems to generate a greater space.

For me the starting point of allowing is usually to stop believing my inner story. I think it's when I step out of the habitual, linear thought processes and become aware of my body, now, and the infinite potential of 'something else' to start work, or play. I usually think of that 'something else' as love.

for me allowing means,
just moving with the flow of energy...letting whatever happens......blending both the body and having a sense of feeling that nothing exists but energy!!diving deep into that feeling ..letting it fill each and every cells in my body with a relaxed focus.....( thre is no thoughts in tha feelin.. just a feeling of bliss)..i realised at some deep allowing states which i go very rarely ,i dont move or focus energy using thoughts, i just do it spontaneously as if i am the enrgy! when this happens my breahtin becomes very slow .. i dont even know weather i breath or not ........where as i start with a 4-4 breath!! is that ok allain>>? |

I just noticed this topic too LOL.
Core is my favorite but I can allow in any state of being. I am sure I will reiterate many of the above comments. Up to this point of allowing, I have put into motion my intent and dive into the flow. There becomes a point where I sense a strong flow of energy running through me and I become immersed within it. This is the point where I let go of everything in preparation for it and just become a part of that flow. For me that is the allowing state. Hi there,
I know it is the old topic, but when I first read the thread I agreed with everyone and still felt slightly different. Although I wasn't able to put that difference in the words. So I experimented, observed, experimented again. Then I realized that word difference was the key obstacle. So allowing to me means: All inclusive. Freedom to feel and be all. With Love Jelena |
