When working with my uncle and his knee replacements, I find that focusing energy first on the bones and tissues connecting to the foreign “part” is most helpful. Following that, I change the intent slightly to work on the “artificial part”, for the operation of the part - in this case the knee replacement - to be smooth and in harmony with the body. The focus is similar to charging batteries – it is not healing energy per se, but an effort to find a cooperative vibration and bring those vibrations together. Kind of like urging the two different things – animate (living) and inanimate (not living) to be tolerant, accepting and to work in harmony.

That's interesting - I've not worked on a replacement knee yet but will bear it in mind.
I've worked on worn-out knees and a knee recovering from keyhole surgery to cartilage, and in both cases it really helped to work on the ankle and hip at the end of the session, to get a sense of flow down the entire leg. |
