When i'm at home i like to run energy through my cat but she's relaxed for like 15 20 seconds and then she gets all anxious and attacking my hands, I don't know if this is the cause of QT or not? I only do it every now and then. Also when i'm practicing on my energy sweeps and breathing she'll come up to my hands rub up against them and then attacks them. is this normal?

peace and love to all

Hi Aaron,

Both are normal - cats and small animals can only take a little energy at a time, and because they can get over-stimulated by petting (including QT) they will let you know when they've had enough (although mine never attacked me LOL!)

They are also aware when you are doing energy work and will come and take what they need, then push off. (Again though, possibly not attack? Does your cat often attack? Wink)

You can try sending distantly if kitty prefers that.

Also when I do hands-on, I intend that the energy flow at the rate that the cat is happiest with and switch off when it's had enough (I do Reiki as well) and this seems to keep them very happy. Smiler Smiler Smiler

Let us know how you get on, ok??

HTH!

Use distant technique for the cat if she gets all antsy when you do hands-on. And instead of doing a fire-hose on her, do a very gentle session. Try the "What you love most" method. Be VERY gentle. Cats are very perceptive, and your kitty will get the message from a distance. In time, you may be able to do hands-on as the cat becomes accustomed. Visualize Kitty in a soft, cushy bubble of soft white light, very gentle. Invent your own visualizations....whatever place makes Kitty comfortable, visualize her there. It's good practice on doing distant sessions, and you will be able to watch and observe the outcome directly.

Let us know how it goes with Kitty....From a fellow cat-lover.

I was able to do hands-on for my daughter's kitty ONLY if I was also scratching his neck. Cats are such self-indulgent creatures. (We could take lessons. Big Grin)

Thanks! When i mean i attack my hands more like try to bat my hands and bite, but not too much i think she might be playing, but i'm not sure. She can be pretty aggresive sometimes when she gets into play mode.

When i meant attacking my hands she likes to try batting them and bite a little bit. She doesn't bite too hard, but her claws can be pretty painful at times.

Batting the hands and a gentle but firm bite is quite normal (I had to look that up a few weeks ago when we got our new cats, as our previous cat never did that!)

It is their no-nonsense way of telling you that they feel TOO good now and they can't take any more pleasure! Big Grin

Thanks for clarifying, Aaron! And have fun!
