I am an RN, and know of no real problem with hyperventilating as taught in Quantum Touch. I am wondering if anyone has run into any problems other than dizziness or possibly fainting. I am mainly concerned about long term effects. I have heard that shell divers, who hold their breath for minutes, have a reduced lifespan. They probably hyperventilate before the dive, but then become hypoventilated under water.
Thanks, Ron Wagner |

Quantum Touch does not teach hyperventilation.
If the breathing patterns are done properly, even Fire breath, symptoms of hyperventilation will not occur. If you are getting symptoms of hyperventilation, back off on the breathing a bit....derangement of blood gases is not helpful or desired. Just backing off the heavy breathing a bit should really help. Richard goes to great lengths in the book and on the video to show people how NOT to hyperventilate, & cautions against it. Many newbies here on the forums have described SX of hyperventilation as they are beginning the practice of QT....It should be listed as one of the most common mistakes that people make. Richard gives four common errors (Please look them up) and I think hyperventilation should be added to the list. If you watch an experienced practitioner do a QT session, you will not see hyperventilating! Please watch the videos on YouTube, of Richard doing the work...you won't see hyperventilation. Again...If you are getting dizziness, light-headedness, tingling around the mouth, twitching of extremities, or God forbid, FAINTING, back off on the breathing. Also note that when doing the Core Transformation work, there is no "breathe and sweep" as it is taught in the Basic or Supercharging work...it is not necessary or helpful or desirable to upset the pH of one's blood to do this work. Normal blood gases and normal blood pH is where you want to be. PS: Hyperventilation & blood gas chemistry are subjects I know about in depth. I hope this helps, and Welcome to the Fambly. Thanks for the reply. I have had no problem with the breathing. I haven't finished the book yet. I am curious about how one does not hyperventilate with all the breathing though. I have found it helpful in increasing my vitality, and aches and pains. Also in working on my wife, who has fibromyalgia etc. I will have to check my 02 level at work. I am a psych RN and see some anxious people who hyperventilate, get very anxious, and think they are going to die etc.
