I am new to Quantum-Touch.
But I have used it on one of my dogs when he wasn't feeling well and it helped him. The other dog is a bit over protective and I was wondering what I can do to get him to relax some.

I've not seen this question before, but I find QT to be very relaxing, so it would stand to reason that your dog might too. I hear the key is to offer very softly since animales are much more sensitive to eneregy that human are. You can start our offerring softly, distantly and then work up to hands on. My guess is he will relax right away.... you might do a search for "Bear" - Bear is a dog that needed to learn some social skills and settle down. THe thread is wonderful

I had one of the worst dogs with a temper! I feared that I would have to put him down. What I didn't know is that he had duke claws that had grown upward into the leg bones, so the short nails were deceptive in appearance. He also suffered from tension headaches.
A vet took care of the first problem. The second was resolved by playing "really loud" relaxing nature CD and running "love" energy. He now follows me everywhere and when he begins to get his headaches, (which are rare) he puts his head in my hands so I can run energy. I make it a nightly ritual as we go to bed and he sleeps at the bottom of it. I run the energy. He can tell because he always repositions himself closer to me. Conclusion: VET, Music, Energy. Opps almost forgot. My brother who is an animal "whisper" stated the dog wants me to play more with him. Done!

I have had great success with QT and animals. My 12 yr old kitty, Santana loves QT. He didn't like it so much at first, so I tried using the Core breathing with him and he melted. Now he comes to me nightly for his QT sessions and turns into melted butter on my chest. He seems to like half hour sessions. Each animal will respond differently, just like us they have different likes and dislikes, so you'll want to try different things until you find what works for him.

I've also worked with my roommate's hyper standard poodle and it really helps to calm him down too. He likes massage, so I do the QT while I'm giving him a doggie massage. It calms him down quite a bit.
