Hi all
I've started learning QT from the book, and I can feel sensations in my feet, legs, head arms & hands (hands mostly) when I do the full body sweep. My question is - when doing a session, do you do the full body sweeps constantly, for the entire time that you're doing the session? Or, do you do them at the beginning to get the energy running, and then focus on the hands mostly, but do a few sweeps as you feel the need? (sorry for the silly question!) |

The answer is "yes." But yours isn't a silly question at all. It's a question that most of us have when we begin. It seems overwhelming all the things that we have to do to "simply" do Quantum Touch. We breathe, sweep, intend, focus, and do our different techniques all at the same time. It truly does become second nature with practice. Don't worry. Doing the best you can right now is perfect and yields results, sometimes amazing results. Practice, practice, practice. You're doing great.

first of all, no, its not a silly question As time went on i found i conciously did the sweep & breathing then just went with the flow, i'm sure you will get lots of replies from our "Fambly" they are a great help. Welcome! I used to think the only question that was silly was one you knew the answer to. But that doesn't make the question silly, but rather the one asking it. But, since you didn't know, neither you nor your question are silly! Cris' and Mo's answers are perfect and right on. It's like driving a car. At first it seems like there are SO many things to remember you'll never be able to do it all, but in time, with practice, you don't even have to think about it at all - it's become second nature to you. I just wanted to congratulate you for finding QT and for doing such a great job. That you feel the energy is wonderful. Many can't feel it at all in the beginning and some, never. I would answer just a bit differently. Yes, the sweeping and breathing become second nature - but if you've just done it a week or two once in a while, I think it's way too soon to let go of doing it consciously. We have very strong habits of attention and lack of attention, and at this early stage you may very well just be spacing out if you let go of the sense of breathing and sweeping at this point. And if you are specifically focusing only on your hands, the energy is definitely not going to be sweeping through your entire body in a strong way. It's not that you won't get results doing QT some other way - but your body acts as a powerful "lens" which intensifies and amplifies your vibration and the flow of lifeforce. Also, you should NOT be focusing ON your hands. It's easier for everyone to feel the energy in their hands, because there is a major center for the inflow and outflow of energy in the hands. It's better to have a sense of the energy flowing up through your feet, through your legs, torso, slightly through the top of your head, through your arms, and out through your hands. Make sure you don't have a sense of the energy merely flowing into your hands. A new habit doesn't develop overnight - you do have to put sustained attention into the breathing and sweeping for a while for it to truly become second nature, as opposed to simply falling to the wayside. Do an experiment: first, work on someone for 10 or 15 minutes after just doing a few conscious sweeps and then focusing on your hands. Then, work on them consciously sweeping and breathing the entire 10 or 15 minutes and having a sense of the energy flowing through your palms as you work. See if you feel a difference. Since breathing is a physical task, and most of us have been doing it improperly most of our lives, it can actually be a bit taxing at first to get used to breathing continuously in a way you're not used to. However, as far as sweeping your attention through your body, remember that it actually takes no physical effort whatsoever to move your attention through your body. If it's tiring, it simply means you have the tension (perfectly normal) which often accompanies learning to do something new that you're not used to. Rather than ceasing the conscious breathing and sweeping, scan your body for any tension and allow yourself to drop it. This message has been edited. Thanks to everyone for the replies, I'm glad I asked now, as your answers have all been very helpful Also, thanks for the compliments on my photo Interestingly, last night, I was sitting on the sofa, trying to send energy to my cat who was sleeping - he'd seemed really low all day yesterday. When I got up this morning, he was all over me like a rash! (He's normally not like that at all). I'm hoping the session has helped him to feel better. |

Welcome to QT. It's a very empowering decision to engage in a path of healing. I would also suggest that while it can take a while for things to become second nature, it's always best to be fully present for each sweep and breath. Being fully conscious of what you are doing - being fully present in the moment - will effect the greatest possible benefit for both you and your client. It gets easier and easier to be comfortable with this somewhat busy state, but do, by all means, endeavor to be there as much as possible. Enjoy the healing. Hi, Louey! I've only been doing this for 2.5 months, so I'm still newbie too! I had a horrid amount of trouble at first trying to concentrate on everything and get all of it done. You're really one up on me, cuz you can actually FEEL the energy! I still can't! I would find myself concentrating on one thing (say breathing) and realize that I had forgotten to see the energy sweeping. So then I'd concentrate on the energy sweeping, and forget the breathing! But what I realized, was even when I was forgetting one or the other, the energy was still flowing. I've read in several books, that the Universe forgives the mistakes of the rookies, and it really seems to be true! They finally have started falling together for me now, and I'm able to do them both together. It still gets a little harder when adding things like vortexing and visualizing for distance, but that's actually getting easier too. The best part has been that I have now been able to actually help people over distance now, and they have told me about the different things they experienced, and were both greatly helped. It really helps when you know that it's actually ''working!'' I have also read in books on yogi psychic healing, that the life force is still going through your hands even while you're breathing in (and starting a new sweep). So the energy doesn't stop just because you are pulling up more. I loved reading that. I guess it's kind of like turning on a faucet. But it is really wonderful to hear that you're actually accomplishing what you're trying to do, when you really don't think you are at all! My first workshop I did (video workshop) was really helpful for me, as it showed me that I really COULD do it!

I have been working in this field for decades, from the dark ages to now, and am still learning new things, new ways. Don't feel silly, or that you may not be as good as the next person. You may be able to heal cats, but not mice, the next mice but not cats. DON"T WORRY ABOUT IT! The first reaction that any of us have is"Am I good enough?" Having taught many different techniques, some not even connected to QT, I know there is no stupid question, no embarassment. The first answer that always hits my mind is "why would you not be good enough?". You are here, asking. You are therefore good enough. On the other hand if you came in teaching us all the "correct" way to heal, all of us would go up in smoke. There is no BAD way to channel energy, even if you can't feel it. Just do it over and over. The grooves (?) that the energy follows will become stronger every time you do the excercises. No problem. When you began to cook on your own, did you not make many attractive/or not mistakes? Then you got it right, learned the recipe, and went on to improve it. The sharing of that improved recipe is part and parcel of this message board. I just love a food foreign to me.
