Hello.
I have been suffering from tinnitus in both ears for abt 40 yrs ( I am 72 now)
I have just started to learn abt QT. and practised it a little.
This tinnitus is very boring and is tapping me of energy. I wonder, is there anyone out there having experience with tinnitus and QT??

Hello Per,
I also have tinnitus (in one ear), and have attempted to use QT and other methods to relieve the symptoms.

I've only had mine for 8+ years. I often experience it as very loud and it sometimes keeps me from getting back to sleep easily if I wake at night.

The best I've been able to do so far is reduce my blood pressure using QT or other methods, which lowers the volume of the tinnitus "whistle".

Although this isn't a big issue for me personally (yet?), so I haven't put much work into it or made it a priority. However, I do know that it creates a lot of stress and even depression for many people. QT or other methods to deal with the emotional effects and stress of tinnitus I know could be very helpful.

But for me, not much luck with making the sound go away, but I haven't put much work into it.

Anyone else have a better result? I'd be interested to know too (and know what you did that worked).

Blessings,
Alfred

Hi
I don't have tinnitus or know anyone who has it. I read in one of Ruediger Dalkes books "Krankheit als Weg" that tinnitus is coursed by a trauma/ stress. What I understand so far is that the main reason for the sound to occur is that the sufferer is blocking his/ her inner voice.
1) sufferer can't hear him/ her self
2) can't take anything in cause is occupied by the sound he/ she is hearing to take more notice of what is going on inside

I think that I would look back to its first occurrence and work from there.

hope it helps

Einar

I also have tin. in both ears.
No luck with treating myself, but did when treating a client for another condition. They did not tell me they had tin. but said after that the noise had substantially reduced. I think I just 'tripoded' the ears

I have had Tinnitus for some years, started after surgery on my neck in both ears.
It's very loud & can also be very distressing at times. A few times the noise goes down a bit, why i dont know.

Q.T did help but only for a short time.
Neurologist explained to me that the brain will focus on it ( the noise ) because it does not recognise it as a "normal" occurrence....sort of a "What's that?" so it listens to it rather than listen to "normal" daily sounds.

I don't relate to "blocking the inner voice" theory but yes, agree it is caused by trauma, stress & anxiety. The only time i don't hear it is when i'm asleep but soon as i wake up, there it is again!

I too would love to be tinnitus free.

My elder brother had an accident that damaged (perfurated) his tympanum and he got this tinnitus.
I visited him last july, when I was leaving his home he mentioned the tinnitus. We had a coffe session while my wife packed the car, in less than 15 minutes he was almost free of it.
A week later we met in Rio and after another 15 minutes he was free of it.

Hello Einar,
I appreciate what you mentioned about trauma: it has been indicated as a cause or contributing factor in many conditions.

Speaking for myself, I've worked very thoroughly through any associated traumas related to the onset of my tinnitus, which is caused by my body's attempt to keep auditory nerves leading to my damaged inner ear alive.

There are many causes of tinnitus: in my case it was damage to my ear from from being in close proximity to an explosion in and enclosed space (air bag deployed in a car with windows closed). Short of healing energy and my body repairing the damage, the consequent hearing loss and tinnitus remain, but I have also temporarily achieved drastic decreases in the volume of the noise (a high-pitched whistle), wihch I attribute to lower blood pressure from the energy.

If I was more dedicated, perhaps repair is possible. However, the sound doesn't effect my mood and I don't notice it that often.

I know for some (especially in both ears and roaring sounds) it can be very bothersome and get in the way of living. Also, those for which trauma plays a major role can be effected with healing.

Try putting your mind on the traumatic event that led to or coincided with the onset of the tinnitus. Notice how you feel and if there is any discomfort or uneasiness in your body. whereever you sense it, that is where to place your hands (or focus your healing intention if you can't reach it comfortably) and run the energy, and chase the pain.

For traumatic aspects, there are techniques which address this particularly well:

Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)(r), Be Set Free Fast(tm), and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are wonderful in this regard.

I have had some success in reducing my own tinnitus to a level where it doesn't bother me anymore (super high pitched) using EFT. I have helped a couple of other people with tinnitus using EFT as well. Sometimes you have to tap on all associated emotions that could possibly be connected to the tinnitus before you get results. Worth a try. Hint, try working on one ear at a time.

Peace
Steve

Hi ALL,

(this is part of an earlier reply on October 26 )

Have you ever thought of that the high pitched note might not really be Tinnitus at all for some of you meaning the really High tone.

On a regular basis every 4 weeks I see a very special gifted person, he is visionary. He receives messages and tells us what he hears/sees. He also teaches us certain techniques and during this proces he says , "now you might hear a very high ringing sound" and it sounds as chicadas. My feeling is, it comes from the spiritual world. Smiler maybe Angels, it does not matter what name you give it as long as it feels good.

Have you noticed the high note being intensified during a spiritual practice, being Still, meditating, sending/giving energy or any moment when the Higher wants to connect ?

I think it is indeed a spiritual sound. Smiler

So maybe the High sound you hear is not Tinnitus after all.

I also saw when searching at FIND that Alan Herriot recommends to do QT on the jaw and Ginko Biloba was also metioned by someone.

Hope this gives some of you a sort of comfort, "it is not all what it seems" Smiler

Much Love and Light
Pinky

I copied this post from Johanna G might give you some more ideas.

Hi all,

I have been reading through the information Holly kindly emailed me, and one thing struck me. (DONG!)

The most effective solution for many people appears to be audiotherapy, which seems to be listening to CDs containing certain frequencies to cancel out the current, problematic frequency that results in the tinnitus noise - at least for a time.
For instance, this website here http://www.astral-projection.org.uk/tinnitus-cure.htm says that "Certain types of tinnitus can be cured by audio habituation alone. It can certainly give temporary relief in most cases. The use of full spectrum low impact noise has been scientifically proven to provide audio habituation for the tinnitus sufferer".

Could we cancel out the tinnitus frequency with its opposite frequency, returning its 'sound' to a 'zero' level?
What if we could program our Orbs (those that have them) to continuously allow us the necessary frequencies (or the full spectrum low impact frequencies) that would eliminate the 'sound' of the tinnitus????

Thoughts, anyone?????

Jo Smiler

I have had tinnitus in one ear for about twenty years. It tends to come on with age as well as trauma. It is a physical condition having to do with the tiny "hairs" on the inner ear. They can be injured or just wear out. I have coped with mine through distraction. This is easy for me, because I love radio, audio books etc. I always have the radio or TV on, when indoors. Distraction can be very effective. I do believe that healing should be tried however. I will be working on my tinnitus with the new techniques I am learning in Quantum Touch.

The way I control my tinnitus is by lowering my sugar intake and taking a sublingual multiple B complex - called B Total - I get it at Whole Foods - 2 - 1 oz bottles w/dropper in one package - about $20 USD. I've been handling it in this manner for about 20 years - it flares up when I let my diet fall apart. Smiler

Hope this helps a bit. I'm very new here, and look forward to treating myself to a QT treatment to see how that will help.

Blessings,

Silverwing
