Hi, once in a while you hit on something and go WOW, this is great.I had that feeling when i discovered quantum touch. For the time being my study source is the book by Richard Gordon. It is easy to read but i still have some questions.
-He describes 4 breathing techniques. Is it essential you do all of them before you begin a treatment? -energy sweeping, you learn it. You practice it to strengten it during the day.How do you practice it, do you imagine it sweeping front and back or do you take one side at the time. -during the treatment are you continually sweeping front and back? -which of the breathing techniques do you use during the treatment -Richard Gordon writes that beginners mostly give a too short treatment. How long should a treatment last. Can you treat more areas in one session? I am looking forward to your answers! |

Hi Zeemeeuw and welcome to the fambly (as we know ourselves here)
To begin with you want to practice the body sweeping exercises as given in the book. Although you start by sweeping the front of the body you are actually trying to generate sensation in each part of the body (on the inside) with each part of the sweep. Generate as much sensation as you can in each area. Take your time and enjoy! Then practice each of the 4 breathing techniques (4 4, 1 4, 2 6 and fire breath) linking your inhale on each one to a full body sweep from your feet all through your body to the crown of your head and on the exhale back down the head, neck shoulders and through the arms and into the hands. You do this breathing and sweeping all the time during a healing session. Play with using the different breaths in a healing session, some generate more sensation than others but only do a fire breath at the most once per minute or you could hyperventilate. And to your other question a session can last up to an hour, be patient with yourself and enjoy learning QT. You can treat more than one area in a session but to begin with I would just concentrate on one area. Enjoy your journey with QT, it's wonderful! I'm sure other people will add to what I've said, but please feel free to ask questions as they come up. |

Hi, welcome...I totaly agree with Suzanne, but don't forget, when working in one area CHASE THE PAIN, OR SENSATIONS, it can lead u to another area...
About the lenght: Sometimes in one hour the client is not 100% ok. What should we do? I was talking about this in a course in Rio, I was the instructor. A Doctor, also a chiroprat, was taking the course. He said in a course he took in USA the instructor said that if the client had an improvement of about 30% in a session, this is considered to be accetable. Ask the client to evaluate hs improvement on a scale from 1 to 10. 10 being umberable, the worst scenario, and 1 zero pain, ok. So, say the client said he was in a 7 state at the begining and a 2 at the end. (7-2)/7=0.7 He had an improvement of 70%, ok , a good session. Wilson Certified QT P&I |

Thanks very much for the advice! A few weeks ago i suddenly developed some dental problems. With your advice in mind i treated the area with QT.I noticed the need for pain killers went away. The main problem ofcourse still is going to be fixed. But it was a wonderfull experience. As i had quit a rude dentist in the past, i was very nervous going to the new dentist. In general i could use some relaxing tachnique too. Do you have any suggestions for me?
Wishing you the very best is Zeemeeuw. |

Hi, Z -
Just to make sure it's clear, when you do the sweeping with your mind (as opposed to the practice sweeping with your hands, just to anchor in the feeling of energy moving in the body), you should be imagining the energy going up through your feet, through the centers of your legs (as if through your bones), through the center of your torso up through your head, down the sides of your head and neck, through your arms (as if through the bones), and then through the palms of your hands (and fingers). You do not need to do all four breathing rhythms each time you work. It's good to practice each once in a while just to get used to each one. People often use a 4-4 breath most of the time, and then amplify it with a 1-4 or 2-6 breath, or for a few seconds with a fire breath, if they are working on an area that seems very blocked - that is, it doesn't seem to be shifting with the regular breathing. Other people really enjoy the 2-6 breath and use it all the time. Everyone has different preferences. Re: how long should you work - the above answers are totally correct. However, to answer on a smaller level: often you will feel the sensations in your hand get stronger and stronger, then level out, then diminish and pretty much stop. Or you might feel a lot of sensation right away and then it levels out. That means you've got the energy moving; however, if you stay longer, the energy will go to deeper levels. How long you stay would depend on the circumstances (for instance, do you and the other person have five minutes or an hour available). Hi Zeemeeuw,
welcome! everyone has given you wonderful advice here. I would also remind you that you don't have to guess how long the session should last, the best indicator is your client, as taught.. remember to communicate with them,ie. how do you feel, has it moved, is it changing..then comes your oportunity to learn and guage your sessions. You will soon understand what you are feeling in your hands comparing it to what your client is telling you. Have fun learning! Sparkles |

You are wonderfull people, all of you!Thank you for getting me on my way with QT.At the moment i am only treating myself, when i feel i have integrated enough knowledge and experience i will start to treat others.
May i ask something else.I saw a demonstration i think by Richard Gordon who worked on a strength athlete, by treating him between training sets his strength and energy increased considerabily. Amazing to see. After my move i suddenly became tired, physically and mentally, real tired very sudden.Just if someone had pushed a button. It never became clear what it was. But it is not ME or something like that.More a case of not getting energy and loosing to much.I have gotten better but i am still not my old self. Is there a way i could use QT to raise my energy levels? |

HI Zeemeeu
Was there some deep emotion around moving or something that happened at that time? I ask that as that may be the cause of the great tiredness you felt around that time and have never got over properly. I would give yourself QT everyday and visualise yourself full of vitality and vigour. It takes a little longer working on yourself but keep going it is worth it. Love Wendy "Expect miracles" |

You might also ask yourself where in your body is the center of this feeling of tiredness. And if there is, sandwich it, or simply focus on it if that is not possible, as you sweep and breathe.

I wonder if during your 'move' that you pinched a nerve? Regardless, the advice already given is excellent. Keep breathing and sweeping.

You are very right, there was physical stress. Not being able to sleep properly for 2 years due to noisy neighbours. And before and after the move there was mental stress too.
I hope you do not mind i have some new things on my mind too to ask. You are such a special recource, giving person to person answers i can not get out of the book. Recently i was in church when i felt a painfull bloating suddenly. Could not do the breathing exercises, so i instinctively laid on my hand started sweeping and a 2-6 breath. After a short time air escaped and i felt so much better. There must be more situations where you allmost immediatily have to step in.Was it right what i did? Could i have done something more? In relaxed situations where you can prepare, how long do you take for your breathing exercises? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Hi, Z -
I think you have a misunderstanding. The breathing is not done as a preliminary exercise - what you did is exactly correct. Just as you did, you simply choose whatever type of breath you wish to use and begin sweeping and breathing. You got quick relief, so you did exactly what you should have! In a relaxed situation, you would have done exactly the same. What an insight. In the book it is desribed that before you begin a treatment you must do some sweeps and different breathing techniques after each other and only then you could start a treatment. At least that was the way i understood it. Is this one type of breath technique for all treatments or just first aid. Just want to make sure now.Wow,knowing this is a big step forward!
