Kaleidoscope Meditation

Well, I have a kaleidoscope on my living room table and it has every color. This particular one has crystals inside so in sunlight, it gives off every shape and color and some of the "colors" even have rainbows around them. So, as we look thru the kaleidoscope this morning, we see the colors and shapes. We see that all the chakra colors are there and the 12 colors too, and all the shades in between. So, we see the jewels in the little screen, and we give the kaleidoscope a little jiggle, and a twist. The twist causes the little crystals to form a vortex as they tumble and the colors will now change. We have a field that is red for the most part now with other colors on the fringes, for no color is ever alone, others are always there too. We twist again, amping up the vortexing motion and we now see orange. With every motion, the crystals spin thru yellow and then green like Honker. Twist........blue-green and our breathing and sweeping is in concert with the twisting vortexing movement. Twist....to blue. Twist...to indigo and third eye and twist again to violet at crown chakra. We are so connected to each other...there is only one of us And now we see all the entire spectrum, white, violet and ingo and the copper silver and gold and the yellow, green and blue-green. I am attracted strongly to the blue-green today between the heart and the throat and then the blue, magenta and mother of pearl. Ahh the kaleidoscope is fun! This energy is light-hearted and fun too. Enjoy....wrapped in your mother of pearl feathers of finery!

Where do you buy a kaleidoscope?

You're the second person to ask me the question. I bought the kalaidoscope maybe ten years ago in a little gift shop located in the Southdale Mall here in Minneapolis area. I think the shop still exists but for the life of me, I can't remember the name. They sort of specialize in kalaidoscopes, or they did at that time.

Some had colored gels inside, and those images were very different from the ones with glass pieces or crystals inside. There were so many different ones in the shop, large & small, and I remember playing with them for a long time, trying to decide which one to take home, because they were all so lovely. This one is small, maybe 4 inches tall, and the viewing lens has a triangle in it, and you have to view the screen by looking directly through the point of that triangle, to make the images look symmetrical on the viewing screen. Takes a bit of getting used to, but worth the extra seconds to view it correctly!

It has been on my living room table for years. People invariably gravitate to it when they visit, & it's fun to see their faces smile & light up when the images appear. I'm sure that the crystals inside are broken pieces and shards, probably retrieved from a jewelry manufacturer someplace and put to good use instead of being discarded.

Try to google "kalaidoscope" and see what comes up, or keep your eye peeled for gift shops that might carry such wonders. Good luck!

I experienced a sort of like colorful kalaidoscope meditation last week. I was not planning on this to happen, it just did.

I started to count with an in and out breath as one, then proceed with each in and out breath to two etc... then without any effort, I started to see one color at a time. The colors were bright and fleeting. I cannot explain it to well but the experience was rather relaxing and I definitely felt I was in a meditation mode.

Just wanted to share. Has anyone experienced seeing fleeting colors change from one color to the next?

Aw geez, Joanna, what did you go and do that for...all I needed was another toy. And a mezmerizing one at that. Now I want to go and experiment with all the different color combinations!
