This is a very valuable little letter that I receive by email at irregular intervals. They are always very poignant and informative. Here is the latest, which fits into the QT philosophy so well: ENERGY FOLLOWS THOUGHT.

Thank you very much, Barbara!

Here it is: (Permission is given at the bottom to pass this on.)

Hello from my heart, everyone, this is Barbara Wolf.
Global Meditations Network

THE WEATHER:

Every day we read that flooding in the Midwest of USA
is worse. More homes under water. More dams ready to
buckle. As the rain continues, more farmland is lost.
Wheat cannot grow; corn cannot grow; nothing can grow.
At the end of the growing season, when crops are harvested
to feed the country and many needy places in the world,
what will be harvested?

Flooding rivers send water downstream to other
rivers which begin to flood. The extensive Mississippi
River stands waiting. This river, which begins in the
north in Minnesota and ends far south at New Orleans,
flooded extensively in 1993, causing much damage.

We have the ability to help steady the weather.
Let us try.

All has a consciousness including storms.
Just now, as storms from the Midwest are coming
over my area to the east, I address each storm.

Here is my technique.

“Hello, storm. Thank you for coming. The trees and
garden vegetables and flowers thank you for coming.
I love you. Please, I ask you, come in a steady manner.
Steady as she goes, is sailor’s talk Steady as she goes.”

To date, there has been little damage here from these storms.

Perhaps you would like to try my technique for the Midwest
even if you do not live there. Thought attracts thought. If you
live in New Zealand or Europe or South America, you can address
the storms of the Midwest, a place that grows much food for the people.

One time about 8 or 9 years ago, I was attending a Native
American conference when we received an urgent phone call
from Texas. A hurricane was bearing down on the city of
Galveston, Texas. We were asked to prevent this.

Instantly, the conference was halted and we all
went into meditation and we stayed in meditation for
about a half hour. Then the conference resumed.
About two hours later, we received another phone call,
and this one told us that the hurricane had made a sharp
90 degree turn to avoid the city of Galveston.

Let us for a moment become sailors who use the words
‘steady as she goes’ to tame the storms of the Midwest.

Peace, Love, and Light,
Barbara Wolf

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in.

Regarding the midwest. This may seem like an odd statement, but if a flood of such magnitude had to happen, I am glad it was there! I better explain myself! I was born and spent most of my childhood and teenage years in the midwest. Currently, my family is thirty five miles out of Cedar Rapids and the rest are in DesMoines. These are two of the many places that have been hit hard.

They are safe! When I heard of the pending flooding, I immediately started sending protective prayers/loving intent in their behalf. Mom emailed me and stated her basement was badly flooding and the DesMoines group were traped with all roads leading out under water. I began to meditate and visualize a drainage hole in mom's basement and a channel to divert the flood water away from the others. I included the image of Phoenix dessert seated in the heartland--- and how it would appreciate some water. By morning, mom emailed and said she didn't know what had happened to all the water in her basement but it was gone and the DesMoine group was still safe and reports of highways draining and clearing.
Message: Our intentions do matter.

Now onto my opening statement. I was shocked and mortified by in the past flooding in other areas in the nation, as reports of water being sold for outlandish prices, robbing, shootings etc. etc. You never hear of such coming out of the midwest. In fact what you see is them shouldering together and taking care of one and another. So if a flood had to happen, the Midwest will lead by example as they have always done and just maybe a surge of horrific crimes against humanity was diverted.
My Grandfather's words represent the attitude of most in the region, "A vegetable garden is never planted just for you but for a neighbor who may be down and out."
Maybe now is the time for all of us to endorse the Midwest message by planting a vegetable/fruit garden for our neighbors.
As I know many are sending loving intentions to the Midwest, I ask that we all visualize crops flourishing (in spite of this flooding) and a longer then normal growing season.

Within each of us may a garden of love flourish.

Take care
M.

Thank you Ali,

Update on Midwest: Just talked to family. Mom stated that though the water was gone, everything was still very wet....including the carpeting and boxes, etc. in her basement. (OOPPS guess I should have sent a warm breeze her way). She said she started on Sunday trying to carry out the heavy water logged debris. She has a terrible steep stairway to the basement and many of the items were too heavy to haul out...esp carpeting. After giving up on ideas of how to makeshift a hoyer, she asked universe/prayer for some help. Before noon a band of weary travelers carrying shovels, shop vacs, brooms etc knocked at her door.
Church folks and neighbors had begun to form groups to go throughout neighborhoods to help each other. She had to laugh at their muddy faces and hands....but welcomed them with a heart felt thanks and lunch.
Afterwards, she joined them to help others.
I thought about this for a while and have come to realize: It appears that during this time of helterskelter hitting the earth in many ways, that all the destruction and devestation is not about the doom and the gloom, but a time when our busy worlds come to a hault. For what purpose? It is a universal opportunity to re-evaluate what is important in our lives, to help one and another, reshape our charicter, and shine bright like the sun and stars. In essence it is an opportunity for humanity to get back to the basics and cultivate goodness, hope, and love for all humanity....and getting to know neighbors who are only now known by faces and cars--like ships passing in the night. The other cause is historical. Hard times are the mother of inventions. We ask "How" and the universe answers. In these modern times we have abandoned the querry for "How" and have adopted what has been provided regardless of mode or method.
This leaves the daunting question, "Has the time come to live our lives for the person to the left and the right of us and for the ones who go before and behind the wake? Yes! The universe is calling out for all to live life as a leader rather then in a state of passive exsistence. Simply put, the "me" season is being tossed to and fro by nature. And! Mud bathes are again fashionable. LOL.

To all my wonderful QT members, may your greatest trial be to decide what act of kindness and love you can do next.

Take care
M.
