I knew that the first part was true, the first time I held my baby daughter in my arms and I knew the second part was true, when I held my friend's hand as he departed this world!

The last one is so true Huggie. They are always with us in our hearts and in Spirit. The other side has a thin veil between our dimensions. I truly believe we will see them again, when we cross or even when they visit us.

Great words Nancy! My Nanny passed away on March 13th. We were very close. I never got to say goodbye. How can I contact her and get her to contact me? I am anxious to hear her voice and communicate with her.

Cheri, I think the best thing to do is NOT to try. My feeling is that when you try, you block yourself to contact, because you're working too hard at it. A good friend of our family contacted me in a dream about three months after he left this plane. And I hadn't been trying. I've encountered similar souls in the same way.

Thanks for the info! I am going to not try anymore. Are there any mesitations that I can try, etc? I wish she would try to contact me. Maybe I should go see a psychic?

I beleive that we can talk to them on the other side just as if they are here in person.
If they want to convey us a message, it will come in dreams. You dont have to be thinking about it.

I've no experience with this but it seems that being open while holding the wonder, "What would Nannie say/think/do/etc." I use the word wonder because it seems more allowing than the word thought in this case. Just wonder, listen with love, and let it go. Try that?

Thanks Cris, I have tried everything. She knew how I was into spirits and psychics and so on, I just thought she would try to contact me somehow. Esp. since I was unable to be with her when she passed. That is the hardest part for me to accept, because I wasn't there and was unable to say the things I wanted to her. I sure hope she can hear me now when I talk to her.

Hello Cheri... my father past away 9 years ago and I thought for sure I would have more contact with him. I think it might be that I am to emotionally attached. He has come in dreams on occasion. That is really special when that happens. Once in awhile I am aware that he is letting me know he is near... it maybe something that someone has said or a series of events that will point to it being him. I will often have clients loved ones who have passed show up in sessions to talk to me to share a message or to help in the session... so I was surprised and disappointed when my own father was not able to make that connection. Maybe the time isn't right. I also have a good friend who passed who I thought would of been in my face talking my ear off but that hasn't happened either. She does make her presence known now and then though.
I agree with Cris... relax in the knowledge that your Nanny does hear your words.... ask her to come forward in your dreams and then just let it go. Patience is hard when we want to connect now... but I find spirit is not so wrapped up in time as we are.

Soundweaver, First let me take this time to say how sorry I am about your dad. I lost my dad in 98, so it will be 9 years on Nov 19th that he is gone. I know exactly how you feel! My dad and I were close and I thought he would come to be, esp. since he believed in reincarnation! However, I did have alot of dreams about him! Now, with my Nanny, we were Super Close, she was my best friend and "mom". I wasn't able to be there with her when she passed, that is what is bothering me. I need to hear from her, I need to know WHY and that she still loves me. Do you think her spirit is around me? Does the spirit stay here, or visit? She was also very close to my children. So far, my 19 yr old son had 1 dream about her, where he had said to her, "Nanny, I thought that you died", she replied, "No, I never did!"...........WOW, Doesn't that mean that she is always with us? I had a dream of her, only asking me, "Where is the cat?", "You said you were sending me a cat."
I just need to feel her presence and hear her voice again.

If you work with spirit guides, you'll find that some are your relatives. I had four, three were my family. One was my father's dad, whom I never met, but always felt a bond. I find out years later he with with me all the time. The other was my father's mother. My mother joined me after she died in 2003. She first came in a dream. Then in 2005 I was doing a healing and the woman started crying. She said a Navajo medicine man who died 9 years ago had entered the room. I felt his hands on mine, and he has been with me since. He is the loud voice I hear in my head. He can do things, I can't and I call on him to help frequently. Mind you, I always call on our angels, the Masters, and archangels anytime I do a healing.
I went to a metaphysical healer for myself years ago and she told me my father had a message for me. And the message was proof to me.
What I am saying is, use your intent, or see someone who can help you. But they are never far away. Peace
