I have long given up asking for what I want. That stopped working for me thirty years ago!
People on the Abreham list would hound me about not accepting! In fact, he said I must be the only person in the Universe that the Law of Attraction doesn't work for! Seemed to me that if I ASK for a red sports car, there is NO way that I am not coming from a lack of red sports cars. (Belying the fact that I did manifest TWO new cars!) In replying to a post here, I had an all-embracing affirmation drop on me, as they used to.The Truth of this applies to everyone, anywhere all the time; no matter what they say they WANT! "EVERYTHING I NEED I GOT RIGHT HERE!" And I am a pauper who has lost everything except his compter and a few carving tools and on US$30 a month income. But all I lost was stuff I don't need! Much of it stuff I manifested! The more I say this, the more it heartens me and the more universal Truth I see in it. This is taking the spiritual viewpoint that what I really need can't be lost or taken away! But, even here, who would believe it and who would make a film and CD of it? I knew a therapist whse sole technique was to ask clients what did they WANT? He was wrong! Discussion welcomed! Huggie |

YES Huggie,
Again as a pensioner on limited income I have to agree. You can take great holidays in your mind if that is what you crave or picture yourself in a Ferrari or Porsche, so what! they are only status symbols anyway and you can only drive one car at a time. I believe it is our greed for material things which has created the 'society' we are now experiencing. The truly 'profound' does not exist in separation but in unity, in finding peace and understanding in every moment no matter how 'mundane' or 'ordinary'. The main way to have a happy life is to go within, the source of true happiness is your own peaceful mind. Love and light Faune |

I believe Solomon was one of the wealthiest men who had ever lived, had 300 wives, palaces of gold, and all he could want. At the end of his life said "all is vanity and chasing after the wind". After having it all he said there is nothing better than enjoying your work, your rest, your food, your wine, and whatever God has given you. You can't take any of the toys with you so what's the point in living for them? He said a lot more than I can remember but it made sense, to me.
