This is a tibetan Buddhist technique to develop compassion.
I think it combines very well with QT. Here's a link for more info about it. If anyone tries it please share with us what you think about this idea of using it with QT. Thanks www.shambhala.org/teachers/pema/tonglen1.php nicky |

Oh Nicky,
This is an excellent site. It will blend perfectly for me and QT. I have a tendancy, when healing, to feel so much that sometimes it can be painful for me. This is a wonderful balance. And in fact, this practice is very similiar with what I use for people that are dying, and it is how I have found the beauty in dying as in birth. Thank you Nicky for sharing. Many Blessings to you and your family Sekon Skennen:kow - May a great peace be within you |

Hi Nicky!
This is a wonderful, and a very practical, method of meditation! I have enjoyed it for many years! I have found this form of meditation, even simply by itself, truly cultivates a deep sense of oness, compassion and empathy. Pema Chodron addresses any fears about "breathing in" pain or illness in a wonderful (and a simple) manner! I think your suggestion to use it with any healing art (including QT) is a fantastic idea! Thanks for sharing this! May we all find our inner peace, Julie |
