2. Richard's Words of Wisdom - Distant Healing

In 1977 before my book, Your Healing Hands, was published I had my first encounter with distant healing. A friend had just done a great favor for me. As this friend was driving with me as a passenger in the car, he commented that one of his big toes was ugly, swollen, and inflamed. Without thinking, I rubbed my hands together and imagined his toe between my hands and filled the space with gratitude and love. Within seconds he loudly said, "Richard, what the hell are you doing to my toe? It is throbbing like crazy!" A few days later I ran into him and he told me that his toe had quickly returned to normal. Even before I learned QT, or knew about the breathing and sweeping techniques, it became clear to me that sufficient joy, love and gratitude was a powerful healing force.

This wonderfully shocking experience reminded me of what I think our world and existing political systems need today - an understanding that healing is real!

You will notice that at the bottom of each newsletter we write:

These are not just simply nice thoughts; I believe that these profound understandings are solutions to human suffering. 3. QT Included in Hurricane Disaster Relief Efforts: A Personal Account

I live in Houston, and we are experiencing the influx of evacuees from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

I worked today at one of the relief centers. I was put to work immediately with the Red Cross for my medical skills. When I arrived, I was the only one.

I was able to use QT in so many cases. The stress here is unreal. And many left home with the clothes on their back, no medications, and full of fear.

Notes from Saturday and Sunday: I am trying to get a space where many of my healer friends (and QT people) can go to relieve some of the pain and stress.....but space is such a luxury. The church has converted it's family center into a relief center, but it is one of the only ones in our area as you must take special training and be certified to offer the relief.

I am sending you a copy of the notes I sent my family.......Hoping you will like an insiders view and feel free to pass it on. I am soooo very happy that we have QT to use. Most evacuees do not know what is happening but they feel the love and the warm hands. I do not take the time to get into long discussions but they pass the word they feel so much better. Tell Richard I am mostly doing the spinal column and the neck as the stress is so pronounced there. We are limited to about a 20 minute sessions, because of the volume of people to be seen. Hi Family;

I have spent Wednesday volunteering at the Spring Tabernacle Church out here near me. They have a center for about 200 people from mostly LA. They announced it at 7 a.m. and by 4 p.m. they had to refuse more people. They were overwhelmed. They converted over the Family Center Gym and had tables full of clothes and games etc. for the kids. Another room about 20 x 30 was wall to wall with mattress' for the sleeping area. They were trying to find another room for additional blow up mattresses. People donated blankets, but with the 97+ weather what is really needed is sheets and pillows. There were a few cribs for the babies, but they were asking for more. Most mothers just grabbed the little ones, and came as is. No time to even think about things.

I went with the idea of finding out what was needed, and ended up working with another friend of mine. She (Sharry) is a previous social worker and of course they needed my skills as a Medical Assistant/healer. We were signed up immediately to work with the Red Cross.

When I arrived, I was the only medical person. But because I had not taken a disaster relief course I could only interview and direct people to the nearest hospital. When I go back this weekend, I will take my BP cuff etc. as there is nothing. I talked to 4 people and they all had uncontrollable diabetes and hypertension. No medication. I felt so helpless only counseling and doing Quantum-Touch healing work, but knew at least they could express their story which helped ease the stress.

The story I heard most often was that the people thought they could stay in their homes, and then Sunday night the last call went out to evacuate and they decided the storm was huge. They ran for cars, trucks etc. with the clothes on their backs. No medications etc., thinking they would be gone about 24 hours and then return home.

They offered to give a crash course on disaster relief at the Red Cross center tonight, but it meant traveling downtown Hwy 59, and that is all torn up with construction. I told them I would just work where I could.

Sharry ended up feeling overwhelmed too, as there is such a need for social services. FHMA only has 2 sites and they are not in our local. I am sure there will be more tomorrow etc. but for now ......She will also go back with me on Sat/Sun. Her counseling skills are really good.

Most people are still in shock and just sit around in a daze. Some are starting to feel the terror and are now into tears and anger. There is so much work ....as the system was prepared for orange and red alerts....but the numbers of people is something you can only vaguely comprehend.

It looks now that the end of September will be the first time they can head home, and the heartbreak there will be awful. Most people know they don't have a home to return to. How can we give them hope?

This weekend, many of my healer friends, massage therapists etc. will return to the center and give aid to the Red Cross workers (as well as the evacuees). They (Red Cross) need to rest....get a massage, and energy healing as they are running on 2 hours sleep and many have not had that for 24-36 hours.

The security is going to have to tighten.....as many people do not even have the price of a loaf of bread. So there is desperation. All the centers are supplied from churches, but the centers have to be approved for disaster relief, and many are not. So the people sleep on the sidewalks outside. It breaks your heart.

If the hurricane went another 800 miles west, we, here in Houston would have seen the devastation.

I know I am rambling on here, but I feel the tiredness in my body too. I am going to bed. I just wanted you to be filled in. Prayers are needed soooo badly.

4. Be Confident in Distance Healing

Hi, I was listening to the horse racing commentary here on my pc and heard a horse was down after being loaded into stalls. He was still on the floor after a minute or two so I started sending QT to him - feeling he was panicky because of being put into the stall. I sent energy to his heart and intended he feel calm and loved. I had quite a strong experience of myself deepening into a lovely calm and strong space, the energy was immediately running nicely. Almost instantly the commentators said "Oh! He's up!" I certainly felt I was in direct contact with the horse and able to reassure him!

Since I've developed my 'heart/mind' balancing system using QT to link head and heart, I've found myself experiencing a confidence in sending distant healing I haven't had before. I've been doing more distant healing every time I see a news report, sending energy to the individuals I see. It's great practice and wonderful to feel you can do something directly and not get drawn into the despair and pain on our screens.

5. Deborah Connelly's Inspiration to Become a Quantum-Touch Instructor

Actually, I have to attribute my interest in Quantum Touch to my cousin in Pennsylvania. I am currently a Reiki Master and my cousin has encouraged me to all along to get involved in the healing arts.

She was guided to find a different kind of healing energy and did not know what that was. Not long after she mentioned this to me I heard of Quantum Touch and shared this with her. As a result, I couldn't wait to take the first QT workshop. It made me feel as if the Reiki I currently was doing was now on Steroids! I shared the experiences with her and vowed to become an instructor so that I can travel to Pennsylvania and teach her and her colleges the wonders of Quantum Touch.

I felt charged up with the additional Workshops and my review of the taped program that is available. Then taking advantage of the Supercharging and Core Transformation courses I was transformed into a better healing facilitator. I am continually amazed at the many benefits and result that QT provides.

I run an Open Quantum Touch Share, where those that have taken QT or are gaining their hours for practitioner can come and hone their skills. The public responses we receive from a healing session continue to amaze me. "Did you feel that? My Liver just jumped!" or "When you placed your hands on me, I couldn't distinguish between where your hand touched and my body started."; "I feel wonderful" and on and on.

I feel very fortunate to have come across Quantum Touch and appreciate all the effort that Richard has put forth in bringing Quantum Touch to the planet. I look forward now that I have earned my Practitioner/Instructor certifications to spreading the word and training others.

6. Intuitive Sight with Quantum-Touch

On 8/29/05, I was running energy for a friend who had shoulder and tail bone pain. After running energy for about 30-40 minutes, I was getting visions of her skeletal structure. I began to so see her shoulder and neck bone through an intense white light.

As I "looked" at her shoulder, the intense white light would "clear" so that I was able to see her bones. It was like looking through a tube. As I was "seeing" her bones, I described to my friend what I was seeing, which was a hair line fracture that didn't quite heal right.

After the session, I showed my friend where I was "seeing" the fracture and she was able to confirm that that was the area she was having the pain, and that she did have a serious car accident many years ago. That was the first time that I was able to "see" bones that clearly. Amazing!!

7. QT Accelerates Healing After Car Accident

Thursday we were hit by a sleeping driver. He had no license or insurance. He totaled our 5 week new to us PT cruiser. All three of us went to the hospital to be check out. Thank God we only had cuts and bruises.

In the last few weeks I have learned about QT and essential oils. I have been using QT when I work and have had great results (more later on this). I have been wondering how well I could work on myself and what the results would be. I did not realize I would get such an opportunity to find out.

I don't know how many of you have every had your airbags deploy. It is a great safety device but can cause lots of damage. My right arm was burned and bruised from the airbag impact. It swelled up so bad that I thought it was broken. The hospital gave me a prescription for Vicadin. I decided that I was going to use QT and my essential oils to heal rather than hide the pain with pain killers.

I have been amazed at how well my body has been healing. Being a diabetic I am not supposed to heal very fast, but in the three days since the accident my arm, which is where the most damage was done, has gone from not being able to touch it to almost normal.

My right forearm ended up swelling to about twice the size of my left arm. Today, three days later, the swelling is almost gone and the bruise skipped the blotchy purple phase and went directly to the barely green/yellow phase.

I was worried about being able to work because of the damage done to my arm, but I made an appointment to work today thinking I could cancel if I was too sore. I will be working because the healing has gone so well and I am not afraid of the pain I thought I would have.

8. QT Helps Revive a Baby Squirrel

Well, Louie the next door Irish setter did it again.

In Colorado, the winds begin to moan at 1pm. It's almost a certainty. Then around 2am, they gust up again, so regularly they are used as measures of time.

Louie is the dog who owns the lil healer next door; I have mentioned the healer and Louie in other posts.

I was busy doing nothing in the kitchen, just puttering around in my schmatte, washing dishes, feeding birds, kind of feeling lazier than normal. I happened to glance up as the 'Lil Healer's' entire family trooped across my lawn and into the house. (Thank all the Gods I was more or less dressed!)

The oldest was carrying something obviously quite sacred in his carefully cupped palms, staring at it as if it might spill and be lost in the winds. The whole family was in my kitchen before I could say a word. That's fine normally, but I had no coffee as yet, and was not ready to face ANY world, let alone what was clearly a family emergency.

I mumbled to the oldest, who promptly pushed his palms forward towards me. He had brought me a rather large blue peanut!

Uh huh, not a peanut, a newly born baby, with its umbilical still attached. And ice cold. No heartbeat that I could find.

The baby squirrel was dead, and so beautiful, with little petal paws, miniscule claws that jutted from each little petal, and born with whiskers, yet! It was just a tragedy, a horror.

I took the baby squirrel, loved him, and KNEW he was gone.

Someone from the group suggested QT on the little dead baby. I started to explain that even QT couldn't bring a dead baby to life, and then I shut up. We don't know the limits, right?

I placed the baby directly over my left palm chakra, he didn't move at all.

Then I began sweeping, pulling all I could for the baby, the maybe baby.

Not clearly thinking, I hit the baby with a full dose of energy that should have jump started a recalcitrant tractor.

That baby turned Pink faster than Rit dye can work. He/she threw all four limbs out like a marshmallow with toothpicks at each corner. He arched his back, let out a series of "pip pip pip" sounds and began searching for the food bar.

His umbilical cord was still attached, he must have been blown out of the nest (which we found later on the ground), when the 2am winds began. He had been on the ground, quite cold when Louie, the dog from next door, found him, brought him to the oldest child in the 'Lil Healers' family and then to me.

People scurried in every direction: One to the pet store, another to get the incubator I keep for emergencies like this, another to get a fuzzy something to wrap the baby in, and on and on..

He got his color back, his umbilical began pumping once again, and I had one heck of a time tying that off too. His little mouth was wide open, squalling at the top of his little lungs.

We got about 1cc of kitten milk into him, he rolled into a ball, we wrapped him in some buffalo fur that I had, plopped him in the heated and humidified incubator and Louie had finished his yearly baby find.

I sent all home, brewed coffee for one, ME, yawned and sat down to start another normal morning at our zoo.

9. Scoliosis Corrected with QT Treatment

We recently had a father bring his son to us for evaluation of scoliosis. Tim and I looked at his back and didn't see much of a curvature. However, his right scapula was rotated back and up....significantly. This made his right shoulder appear 2 1/2 inches higher than his left. After doing some questioning, it turns out this kid played the tuba in concert and marching bands. From the constant marching and swinging movement, his body compensated for the instrument. After the session, the father was astonished that the shoulders were even, and that there didn't appear to be any scoliosis. The things you run into ?????

10. Maureen Johnson: Becoming a Quantum-Touch Instructor

I was involved back in the 80's with Therapeutic Touch that I had learned from a nurse practitioner and was enjoying the outcome of it immensely. I wanted to grow more in this field so I started looking for other healing modalities. I started into one other but I did not like the secrecy of it or the thousands of dollars it cost.

I was attending school and saw two people using an energy modality on a person who needed help. I could feel and sense a great deal of energy passing from the practitioners to the person in need. I asked in regards to what they were using. They told me it was Quantum-Touch they had learned from Richard Gordon. I then found someone who was offering a video class and took it but wanted more. Then I found a class in the Sacramento area being offered by Denise Godfrey and immediately fell in love with all that I learned.

That was back in 2003. I now am an Instructor and use it on a daily basis not only for others but for myself as well. I can't imagine not having this modality in my life. It has made that big of a difference. Now I want to teach others about the benefits of Quantum Touch.

11. QT Helps in Birth Process

Last week I got to go be with a friend as she had her 2nd baby girl.

I don't see her very often and have only been able to tell her about QT via email in the last few months since I first learned the basics.

I have of course, sent distant healing since I found out that she was pregnant again (her first child was nearly 5 months early!! But is now doing very well at age 4).

This was the first opportunity to use QT in person.

So the question is; How can we tell if QT helped?

As far as I know, we have no way of knowing how things would have gone differently with this pregnancy and delivery without QT...

She did make it to term this time. They broke her water at 7:45am last Wednesday. I got to the hospital at 9am and began working from the side on her lower back and hip. Things were progressing VERY QUICKLY! I then moved to be out of the way for the nurses, and worked standing behind her husband. As he held her hand I used him as a surrogate (QT on him for her).

Unfortunately I hadn't explained to him what I was doing - so after the fact he mentioned that he thought I was hyperventilating behind him!! I knew he wouldn't mind though- as he has some background in meditative energy work, and I knew that he was, understandably, wanting everything to go well this time.

The baby was born at 9:26am!! Erika Jane was 7lbs. 6oz and perfect. Their first child, Myra, was born at 1 lb 6 oz and rushed to another hospital via helicopter!

So it's nice to think that QT had something to do with this happy outcome.... But I can't help but wonder how different things would have been without it.

Like I could have NOT done everything I possibly could to help my friend!! When it was over I realized that I have never intended to help someone so thoroughly as then. And considering that this delivery happened with no epidural, no IV, no drugs... Well it looks like QT did something!

Personally, I had a bad experience with my first pregnancy/delivery and have not had any more children. I thought I would never even consider going through that again! But shortly after my first workshop it occurred to me that now I have an option, now I have something that would help me get through everything more easily. So although I'm not pregnant now, the idea of being so doesn't scare me like it has for the past 4 years.
